Tuvalu

I think almost all the people who read this blog don’t know this country. Tuvalu consists of many islands which are on the Pacific Ocean. The population of this country is the second least all over the world and there is nothing representative. Many countries support its economy. For example, in 2007, The Kansai Electric Power Company made some photovoltaic power generation devices in its territory.
However, these days, Tuvalu is getting more and more famous and paid attention by many countries specially developed countries. Why did these things occur? The answer is that Tuvalu is sinking under the surface of the sea. The global warming which developed countries suffer from melts the ice and makes the surface of the sea rise. There are some countries which are sinking under the surface of the sea not only Tuvalu but also all over the world. I think developed countries should think this problem seriously because they mainly promoted the global warming for their own benefits.

  1. I have heard the name before, but I did not know the country very well. I also think many people should think this problem seriously, because global warming has a significant influence on lives of people. In addition, I think that political cooperation is the most important. What do you think about attitudes of developing countries toward this problem?

  2. I learnt the country through the problem of global warming. I was able to believe the fact that the country sank after having seen the photograph. This country seemed to be telling the seriousness of global warming to us.
